The C League was set to start the 2021–2 season with seven teams, but the Shamrock Bar (formerly the Brewers Arms / Prince of Wales) dropped out at the last minute because they were unable to form a team. Then after three games, the Cock Inn (who played at the Broken Cross Club in the 2019–20 season) found themselves in a similar position. They resigned, and their results were expunged from the records (as they used to say in the Football League).
This left only five teams playing in the C League in the 2021–2 seaosn. Each player took part in a maximum of eight games, and the best six scores counted towards the individual totals.
